Acquire Me in Chicago is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to scale LLMs and agents into production systems used by engineers, researchers, and traders.

You will own building agentic tooling, integrating models, and developing end-to-end infrastructure for inference, orchestration, and access controls. Apply your Python/C++/Java skills to ship high-value AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional full-time engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building production software with LLMs and agents.
• Strong understanding of model APIs, tool use, context management, and orchestration.
• Experience with coding agents and modern AI developer tooling.
• Strong software engineering skills across Python, C++, and/or Java.
• Ability to take ambiguous problems from idea through production.
• Genuine interest in AI outside of work, with personal projects or experimentation highly valued.

I've partnered with a leading quantitative trading firm looking to hire an Agentic AI Engineer to build the next generation of internal AI and agent tooling.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on taking LLMs and agents beyond experimentation and building production systems used directly by engineers, researchers, and traders.

What you’ll work on:

• Building agentic tools and coding agents used across the firm


• Integrating new models, agent frameworks, and emerging AI technologies


• Developing the infrastructure behind agents, including inference, orchestration, tracing, integrations, and access controls


• Building AI-powered tools for engineering, research, simulation, and trading workflows


• Improving model inference performance, reliability, and production scalability
