Job summary

Blackstone seeks an AI Engineer to join BXTI’s Data Analytics & AI team, accelerating enterprise AI adoption by shadowing workflows, identifying quick wins, and shipping Python/SQL based solutions. You will co-locate with the business, deploy with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Terraform, and help extend agentic AI workflows across BXMA, Private Equity, Real Estate, and Private Wealth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in an AI engineering, software engineering, or data analysis role.
• Fluency in Python and SQL for data interaction.
• Applied experience with LLMs and AI tooling.
• Demonstrated production systems experience under real user load.
• Proficiency with lifecycle tools, version control, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployments.
• Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar tools with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with non-technical business stakeholders to elicit requirements.
• Experience in financial tech/asset management preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business units – shadow workflows and champion AI power users.
• Translate workflow friction into a pipeline of quick wins and platform initiatives.
• Develop and maintain production software using Python and SQL.
• Use Git, CI/CD tooling, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment (Terraform).
• Build and extend applied AI solutions and scale adoption with self-service runbooks and prompts.
• Promote data analytics and AI culture with talks and training.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects, transitioning PoCs to production deployments.
