Hex is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to join this summer and help build AI-powered data tooling that empowers data teams to explore, analyze, and collaborate using natural language and agentic AI. You’ll contribute directly to product and research at the core of how data teams work with data.

You will work with experienced engineers to ship features to production, run research experiments, and tackle practical engineering challenges across the full development lifecycle in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with expected graduation December 2027 or 2028.
• Experience in AI research, applied AI, or ML, ideally on generative AI or transformer-based projects.
• Interest in building delightful product experiences backed by cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

• Build run real research experiments using AI/ML techniques.
• Collaborate with product engineers to deliver AI-powered capabilities.
• Contribute to research infrastructure including evals, pipelines, and monitoring.
• Solve practical engineering challenges in performance, data modeling, and API design.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
