Amalgamated Bank is seeking an AI Engineer to design, test, deploy, and support enterprise AI solutions that advance the Bank's Data & AI strategy. You will work across data engineering, software development, governance, and business processes to build agent-based apps, LLMs, and retrieval solutions using Databricks.

This role provides exposure to responsible AI practices within a regulated financial services environment, collaborating with stakeholders and advancing AI governance and analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1-3 years of professional software/data/AI experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Databricks or similar.
• Foundational knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and support AI-powered applications, copilots, and agent-based solutions using Python, Databricks, and approved enterprise AI platforms.
• Assist in building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions and multi-agent architectures.
• Develop and maintain integrations between AI solutions and enterprise systems and APIs.
• Participate in prompt engineering, context management, tool integration, and agent orchestration activities.
