Job summary

Zions Bancorporation is seeking an AI Engineer (Data Scientist) to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT. You will work end-to-end, from development and deployment to monitoring and continuous improvement, applying Generative AI, machine learning, and software engineering best practices.

This onsite role requires strong Python, ML, and DevOps experience, with collaboration across data science, product, and business teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong Python skills including async programming and API development.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI/LLM-based apps in production.
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration and agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI solutions, including Generative AI and ML models.
• Develop agentic AI systems using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar tooling.
• Create production-ready AI services focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to scale AI/ML solutions.
• Build AI/ML pipelines from data ingestion to model monitoring.
• Apply MLOps best practices including CI/CD, versioning, observability, and lifecycle management.
• Work with structured and unstructured data and vector databases for RAG.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership.
