Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields with multiple years of AI/ML experience
• Proficient programming in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java with 6+ years hands-on work in AI/ML
• Experience leading development of scalable AI systems and cost/latency tradeoffs

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including model training, inference, and governance
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies and optimize foundation model performance
• Lead cost-performance governance reviews across AI systems and mentor junior engineers
