Job summary

Hazel is seeking a software engineer to join a small senior team in NYC. You will extend Hazel's action layer, enabling writes back to systems like Shopify and Klaviyo, and you will implement AI agent workflows with multi-step tool use.

You will work on full-stack features using TypeScript/React and Go services, building integrations across Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Amazon and more. You will collaborate directly with founders and customers, delivering production-ready code daily.

Qualifications

• Shipped production LLM feature to real users.
• Owned an API at scale: query optimization, schema design, workload fit.
• Strong TypeScript experience
• Experience with AI agents and multi-step tool use
• Care about product UX and ergonomics
• Former or aspiring founders

Responsibilities

• Extend Hazel's action layer, writes back into connected systems.
• Build full-stack features with TS/React + Go services.
• Develop AI agent workflows: streaming LLMs, approvals, tool use.
• Create integrations across Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Amazon and more.
