Job summary

Axmed is hiring an AI Engineer to build production-grade autonomous agents that perform core procurement steps, with human oversight where needed. You will ship agents handling real transactions, real suppliers, and real buyers, and monitor their live performance.

You will collaborate with commercial and operations teams to map procurement steps into agent specifications, balancing reliability, cost, and latency in a live marketplace.

Qualifications

• Built and shipped AI agents in a live production environment.
• Experience owning systems after launch: monitoring and iterating on production data.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous setups with limited infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end agents that autonomously perform key steps of the procurement workflow.
• Introduce human review checkpoints to balance autonomy and oversight.
• Own lifecycle: design, build, deploy, monitor, iterate.
• Instrument agents with logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Map real procurement workflows into agent specs.
• Balance reliability, cost, and latency in a live marketplace.
