Aquent is seeking an AI Engineer specializing in Automation/Robotics to develop and deploy advanced AI models for autonomous systems. You will advance robotic learning and foundation models, supporting Embodied AI research.

The role focuses on integrating AI with robotics, hardware, and simulation, driving breakthroughs in intelligent machines and robotic perception.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of related experience.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with simulation environments or robotic hardware.
• Unit testing and troubleshooting across production systems.
• Experience in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Key Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
• Architect, design, and implement robust test automation infrastructure.
• Develop training and evaluation pipelines using a leading machine learning platform.
• Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applications.
• Develop tools to provide fast deployment of novel algorithms in simulation and on hardware.
• Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworks.

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of related experience.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with using simulation environments or robotic hardware.
• Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
• Proven experience in programming, coupled with expertise in problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• PHD level work or studies in a robotics lab.
