Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer to join the IFX team in McLean, VA. You will design and deploy AI software components, including foundation models, multi-agent workflows, and evaluation pipelines, using a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI tools.

You will mentor junior engineers and help advance governance and observability. You will collaborate with research and data teams to curate datasets, optimize training and inference, and push for responsible experimentation and measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years AI/ML development or Master's with 1+ year.
• 3+ years of programming in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA or Java.
• Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage open-source and SaaS AI technologies in production.
• Optimize foundation model training, inference, and workflows.
• Contribute to long-term AI system roadmaps and governance.
