Job Purpose and Overview

We are seeking a proactive AI Engineer to join Dawn Foods as our first in-house AI resource. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI within the bakery food distribution sector. You will focus on applying artificial intelligence to optimize business processes, starting with enhancing inventory visibility to improve customer service and minimize waste.

This position is ideal for recent graduates with internship experience in AI, data science, or related fields. We seek someone technically skilled, innovative, eager to grow, and capable of bridging technical possibilities with real business needs.

Work Environment & Travel: This is a remote position with up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities as an AI Engineer at Dawn Foods:

• Engineer end-to-end AI solutions to address business challenges, focusing on data-driven decision-making and automation.
• Partner with business teams to analyze requirements and provide actionable AI insights.
• Build and deploy scalable, secure, and efficient AI models for inventory, supply chain, and operational optimizations.
• Enhance data visibility, predict trends, and support real-time decision-making across the organization using AI.
• Develop tools and dashboards using the MERN stack to empower business users with advanced analytics.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and digital transformation at Dawn Foods.

Qualifications for an AI Engineer at Dawn Foods:

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Internship experience in AI Development/Design, data sciences, or similar fields.
• Experience deploying AI projects that solve real-world business challenges.
• Strong communication skills to interpret AI concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across departments to deliver impactful AI solutions.
• Adaptability and innovation with a mindset for continuous learning.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficiency in AI model development, Python, SQL, and MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Experience with analytics and machine learning tools (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices and ethical considerations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AI Developer certification (a plus).
• Experience in supply chain or inventory management (a plus).
