Job summary

BCLP is seeking a Director of AI Enablement to drive organizational transformation through AI-enabled systems and workflows for fee earners. You will oversee a global team, align AI initiatives with practice priorities, and coordinate with Knowledge Innovation Lawyers to ensure high standards of knowledge management and risk control.

You will lead firmwide AI programs, define roadmaps, and deliver practical AI use cases across multiple jurisdictions, shaping how lawyers work and deliver client

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer background in UK or US private practice.
• Experience delivering AI enablement in a complex, multi-jurisdictional professional services environment.
• Experience in enterprise-level knowledge management projects with practical understanding of legal AI and KM systems.
• Proven ability to run or coordinate significant projects across multiple teams, practices and jurisdictions.
• Line management experience across jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of legal workflows, confidentiality obligations and client guideline requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with partners, senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmwide AI enablement programs that build confidence, awareness and adoption.
• Maintain a clear AI Enablement roadmap aligned to practice, business and client priorities.
• Identify, prioritize and deliver practical AI-assisted use cases with Practice Leaders and lawyers.
• Define product requirements, success metrics and adoption goals for AI tools.
• Design and improve practice group workflows, embedding automation and AI where value is added.
• Champion positive behavioral change so AI becomes a natural part of how teams work.
• Define engagement metrics and report on participation, usage and impact.
• Oversee knowledge taxonomy, precedent and template curation in collaboration with Knowledge Innovation Lawyers.
• Lead a global team of Knowledge and AI Enablement professionals.
• Collaborate with Practice Groups, Business Development and lawyers to strengthen the AI value proposition.
