Job summary

CivicPlus is seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to design and implement AI-powered tools and workflows that improve productivity and decision-making across the business. You will work with Professional Services and Tech Support to identify high-value use cases, build integrations, and ensure adoption aligned with governance and architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• Experience building or supporting AI-enabled workflows, automations, internal tools, or system integrations.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with APIs, integration patterns, and data (structured and unstructured).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and model/service integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and developer tooling for deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled tools, workflows, and internal automations to boost efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify high-value AI enablement use cases.
• Develop integrations between AI services, internal systems, and third-party platforms.
• Translate business problems into scalable technical solutions, including prompts and data pipelines.
• Establish best practices for responsible AI usage (security, privacy, testing, monitoring, docs).
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and platforms and recommend practical CivicPlus-aligned solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure reliable data access and infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and reusable patterns.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AI automations for reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide training and enablement support to internal teams adopting AI tools.
• Participate in Agile team, contributing to engineering practices and delivery standards.
