Job description

AI Enablement Consultant

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid, 3 days on-site per week)

About the Role

Our client, a Fortune 500 organization, is growing its AI Center of Excellence and needs an AI Enablement Consultant to connect the AI team with the business. You’ll help coworkers understand which AI tools they can use and how to use them well. A big part of the job is building and running a new AI Champions Network, a group of employees nominated to drive AI adoption within their own departments.

This is a good fit for someone who explains things clearly, enjoys working with people, and uses Microsoft Copilot every day. The team already has plenty of technical depth. What it needs is someone who can turn complex ideas into plain, usable guidance and keep a program running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

AI Champions Program

  • Help launch, manage, and grow the AI Champions Network, starting with the first cohort of nominated employees

  • Set program expectations and structure, and define how success is measured

  • Run Champion meetings, communications, events, and engagement activities

  • Work hands‑on with Champions to find AI opportunities and skill gaps in their business areas

  • Build toolkits and resources that help Champions support their own teams

  • Gather feedback and keep improving the program

AI Literacy & Enablement

  • Be the go‑to resource for questions about approved AI tools and what they can do

  • Drive Copilot adoption, including helping people write better prompts and build agents for their use cases

  • Lead hands‑on learning sessions and problem‑solving sessions

  • Talk with people about their day‑to‑day challenges and turn those conversations into quick reference guides, job aids, and how‑to content

  • Promote responsible AI use and help find and remove barriers to adoption

  • Encourage open conversation across the business about how AI is being used

Program Coordination & Communications

  • Maintain and publish content on the internal AI SharePoint site

  • Juggle multiple enablement initiatives and competing priorities

  • Track program activities, milestones, and stakeholder engagement

  • Write executive‑ready presentations, status updates, and AI communications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Copilot and other generative AI tools. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable writing strong prompts, building agents, and using it daily

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a knack for making technical concepts easy to understand

  • Strong organization and follow‑through, enough to run a cohort‑based program and stay on top of materials and next steps

  • Relationship‑building skills and confidence working with stakeholders across many business lines

  • Facilitation and group engagement skills

  • Experience creating communications, presentations, or learning content

  • Self‑starter who works well with limited direction in a fast‑moving environment

Nice to Have

  • Project management experience

  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) background

  • SharePoint experience (sites and lists)

What Success Looks Like

  • More people using approved AI tools, and using them well

  • A growing, engaged AI Champions Network

  • Positive feedback from business stakeholders

  • High‑quality enablement materials and learning experiences

  • Strong partnerships between the AI team and the business
