Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Architect within the CTO - AI4Tech Scaling team to deliver high-quality architecture solutions for cloud-based software across business functions. You will lead design and governance of AI-enabled tooling and scalable platforms.

Lead the architecture, promote responsible AI, and mentor engineers while shaping secure, resilient delivery. This role is on-site in Plano with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Backend development experience in Python and/or Java.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Strong focus on responsible AI, data sensitivity, security, and resiliency.
• Understanding of LLM tooling, context management, and guardrails.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies.
• Agile, security-focused, and cloud-native software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Administer and scale GitHub Copilot and Claude Code platforms with provisioning and analytics.
• Develop and maintain Copilot Skills and Agent configurations to encode domain knowledge.
• Drive enterprise adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and speed.
• Apply SDLC tools to improve automation and value realization.
• Design and provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services.
• Develop internal tooling, automation pipelines, and self-service portals.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and review others' code.
• Build dashboards and metrics to track AI tool usage and cost optimization.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues for stability.
