Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Newbury Park, CA is seeking a Winter/Spring Co-Op in Semiconductor Process Engineering (Jan–Jun 2027).

This role supports the process engineering team by developing AI tools to assist troubleshooting and root cause analysis, with emphasis on data-driven decisions. You will collaborate with engineers, collect and analyze manufacturing data, build AI models and dashboards, and present results to engineering stakeholders.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
Available for a full-time Co-Op assignment January through June.
Coursework or project experience in AI/ML, data analytics, software development, or semiconductor manufacturing.
Proficiency in Python programming and data visualization.
Knowledge of SQL and ability to work with large datasets.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with process engineers to understand workflows and root cause analysis.
Design, develop, and implement AI/ML tools for process monitoring and troubleshooting.
Collect, clean, and analyze large manufacturing datasets from equipment and databases.
Develop data pipelines and AI models to identify patterns and root causes.
Create user interfaces and dashboards for AI-driven insights.
Validate AI model performance and present results to teams.
