Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Chicago offers a hybrid role as Reporting Automation / AI Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions, partnering with risk reporting teams to transform manual processes into reliable pipelines.

You will build AI-enabled workflows, write Python and Shell scripts, optimize data marts for Power BI, and ensure data integrity across risk reports. A few years of experience and strong SQL, Git, and data warehousing knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Several years of hands-on experience in reporting automation or data development.
• Strong SQL skills including complex views, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions for risk reporting processes.
• Build and integrate AI-enabled workflows to streamline data preparation, validation, and report generation.
• Develop and maintain Python and Shell applications supporting reporting automation and monitoring.
• Re-engineer legacy reporting processes into modern automated pipelines.
• Design data marts and star schemas for Power BI and optimize SQL for accurate outputs.
