Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Reporting Automation / AI Developer in a hybrid Chicago role. You will design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions, with AI-enabled workflows and data pipelines to modernize risk reporting.

You will translate manual processes into reliable automated pipelines and build systems using Python, Shell, SQL, and Power BI to deliver timely, accurate risk reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong mastery of SQL (complex views, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Experience using Python and Shell scripting to automate reporting workflows and build supporting applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions for risk reporting processes.
• Build and integrate AI-enabled workflows to streamline data preparation, validation, and report generation.
• Develop and maintain applications and scripts (Python / Shell) to support reporting automation and monitor system health.
• Re-engineer legacy, manual reporting processes into modern, automated pipelines for future-state reporting platforms.
• Design optimized data marts and star schemas for Power BI consumption and optimize SQL to deliver accurate risk reporting outputs.
