Job summary

Capgemini Invent in New York is seeking an experienced Mgr Technical Architect to design and implement next‑gen manufacturing solutions. You will bridge shop floor data with enterprise platforms, leveraging IIoT, MES/MOM, AI, and cloud/edge tech to drive autonomous operations.

You’ll engage with clients, lead architecture, and guide cross‑functional teams across IT, OT, and manufacturing domains to deliver scalable, integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/EE/IS or related field.
• 4-6 years in manufacturing, digital manufacturing, or manufacturing systems.
• Strong understanding of shopfloor operations and processes.
• Experience with OT, IT, GenAI/AgenticAI, cloud/edge, industrial data platforms, IIoT and MES/MOM/ERP/SCADA/WMS/QMS.
• Experience with Industrial AI platforms and data standards (MQTT).
• Experience designing or implementing shopfloor/manufacturing systems in client-facing roles.
• Ability to translate processes into system requirements and architecture.
• Experience integrating manufacturing systems with enterprise apps and shopfloor tech.
• Experience working with engineering, quality, operations, IT, and site functions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, architecture, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand needs, create requirements, craft architectures, and provide technical leadership.
• Design and architect technical solutions for manufacturing clients using IIoT, MES, AI platforms.
• Serve as SME for processes, operations, quality, material flow, traceability, and shopfloor execution.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, and OT to map current and future processes.
• Translate processes into system capabilities, architecture and technical requirements.
• Define how ERP, MES/MOM, SCADA, WMS, QMS, PLM, automation, and data platforms integrate with processes.
• Design end-to-end manufacturing system architecture, including integrations and data flows.
• Bridge shopfloor and enterprise by connecting OT, manufacturing systems, AI, and IT platforms.
• Lead solution design from requirements through implementation with internal teams and SI partners.
• Evaluate technologies and provide recommendations aligned to business needs.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, optimize, automate and digitally enable processes.
• Support business development with proposals, solutioning, and technical presentations.
