The Emerging Technologies & Nuclear Security Fellow at Middlebury College’s CNS in Monterey invites scholars to join a one-year, full-time fellowship either predoctoral or postdoctoral. Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field is required or ABD status for predoctoral.
• Strong research record in emerging technologies and international security.
• Experience or interest in policy or technical domains is welcomed.
• Interdisciplinary backgrounds encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Publish significant scholarly work in emerging technologies and security.
• Collaborate with CNS’s AI Innovation Lab and participate in CNS’s Asilomar Process for AI & Global Security.
• Provide lectures to students, staff, and visiting fellows.
• Publish research in scholarly and policy outlets.
• Present research at international conferences.
• Mentor students and junior staff.
