Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of full stack web development with PHP/MySQL.
• Deep experience with WordPress, themes, plugins, and REST API.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript and React; API consumption.
• Experience integrating third‑party services and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop web applications with front- and back-end ownership.
• Lead modernization of Vanderbilt's WordPress ecosystem and tools.
• Mentor and supervise a small development team and external vendors.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, product stakeholders, and central IT for secure, accessible experiences.
• Address security, performance, and accessibility in all deliverables.
