Job summary

AMD seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive AI-driven methods across x86 Core Development. You will manage pre-silicon flows, coordinate design, verification, and physical design teams, and influence AI adoption strategy at leadership levels.

You will work with Cores leadership to align priorities, track efficiency gains, and scale AI pilots into organization-wide practices within AMD's Fishkill/NY and related sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in CPU or SoC development (verification/RTL/physical design).
• Proven TPM or technical program leadership delivering complex programs end-to-end.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML applied to hardware design/EDA problems.
• Familiarity with core development flows and tooling for verification and design.
• Experience with program planning tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project) and agile delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to engage at engineering and executive levels.
• Hands-on experience with Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with large datasets, SQL, and visualization tools (Tableau).
• Experience deploying ML models for EDA/verification/physical design.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI-enabled program strategies across verification, RTL, and physical design.
• Apply ML, data analytics, and automation to engineering workflows.
• Define milestones, manage dependencies, and track KPIs (velocity, coverage, PPA).
• Coordinate across architecture, RTL, verification, DFT, physical design, and data engineering teams.
• Partner with EDA and tooling teams to define data pipelines and compute needs.
• Evaluate AI tools and drive build-vs-buy recommendations.
• Escalate risks and drive corrective action with stakeholders.
• Mentor other PMs and scale pilots into repeatable practices.
• Prepare data-backed analyses for leadership on tradeoffs and impact.
