Job summary

Endgame is a premier AI-native consulting and product development firm. You will lead engagements, identify where AI delivers real value in product and engineering, and size the opportunity.

You set targets, prove concepts in weeks, and scale what works, from the terminal to the boardroom. You will work with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and product leaders to understand systems, diagnose root causes, and recommend changes aligned with constraints and budgets.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in software with production engineering experience.
• Architecture depth across distributed systems, data, integration, performance, reliability.
• Track record of AI/ML integration in real products: evals, latency, cost, versioning, safety.
• Run discovery workshops and executive/stakeholder interviews.
• Structure ambiguous problems into clear decisions.
• Prepare board-ready artifacts: investment cases, roadmaps, architecture records.
• Technical due diligence: gap analysis and risk mapping.
• Commercial judgment on scope, timeline, margin, buy-vs-build.
• Diagnose engineering delivery problems and separate root causes.
• Explain technical trade-offs to executives and business constraints to engineers.
• Hands-on coding—ship, not just review.
• Move from boardroom to terminal in the same day.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements from inception to delivery, sizing opportunities and building proofs.
• Quantify ROI and cost of delay, and defend investment cases to executives.
• Diagnose architecture, practices, and foundations; identify blockers to delivery.
• Drive architectural changes to improve scalability, reliability, and velocity.
• Build proofs-of-concept, spikes, and reference implementations; test assumptions.
• Turn validated pilots into production systems with evidence of AI in real workflows.
• Improve delivery flow with targeted process adjustments and accountability.
• Advise engineers and leaders, communicating trade-offs and long-term implications clearly.
