Job summary

BambooHR is seeking a Technical Program Manager within its Business Systems Operations in Utah. You will coordinate programs across portfolios, translating strategic priorities into executable plans, and aligning teams across Engineering, IT, Security, Product, Finance, Legal, and more.

This role emphasizes influence over formal authority, requiring exceptional facilitation, risk management, and stakeholder alignment. Experience with Jira/Wrike and AI-enabled process improvements is a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
Experience within a formal software development or delivery methodology (Agile/Scrum/SAFe).
Ability to translate strategic direction into executable plans and drive complex initiatives to completion without direct authority.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills with cross-organizational alignment.
Experience managing program risks, dependencies, and escalation paths.

Responsibilities

Lead alignment workshops, resolve competing priorities, and manage cross-team dependencies and critical-path risks.
Plan and lead cross-functional technical programs from intake and planning through implementation and post-launch review.
Translate portfolio decisions into executable roadmaps, schedules, resource plans, and initiative sequencing.
Coordinate technology intake, evaluation, operational readiness, and software introduction or retirement activities.
Sequence business-process design, workflow design, and requirements-engineering activities to align with program timelines.
Maintain clear reporting on program status, milestones, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes for working teams and executives.
Proactively address cross-program risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints, escalating issues through the appropriate channels when needed.
Maintain program standards, templates, and facilitation practices while applying lessons learned to improve future initiatives.
Use AI tools to improve program planning, reporting, decision-making, and BSO processes.
