Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is building AI-enabled tools to transform forecasting, inventory, procurement, and logistics. This Business Systems Engineer I role focuses on developing diagnostics, AI-driven solutions, and scalable processes to enable smarter, data-driven decisions across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience with the listed analytics tools, and a passion for applying AI to improve operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (HS Diploma and 4+ years of total work experience).
• Experience with at least one of the following: SQL, R, Python, or Power BI.
• Exposure to ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analyses using SQL, R, Power BI, Python, and other tools to assess risk, gather intelligence, and formulate actionable plans.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven tools and systems to support supply chain operations, including intelligent agents and bots that act as wingmen for supply chain professionals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration, automation, and process optimization across the supply chain.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to enhance forecasting, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
• Proactively assess and develop opportunities for efficiencies and automation, including the use of AI to reduce manual tasks.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures and documentation for AI-enabled tools and systems.
• Provide training and support to the broader team on new AI tools, reports, and processes.
• Identify and propose cost reduction opportunities across various products and services, leveraging AI to uncover hidden efficiencies.
