Job summary

ResiQuant is seeking a founding engineer to help expand structural engineering intelligence powering AI-driven risk assessment for the $200B property insurance industry. You will develop ground truth data and define reasoning frameworks to determine how buildings endure disasters.

You will work with Stanford PhD founders and top AI engineers as we scale across the US and internationally. You will analyze building imagery, collaborate with AI teams, and guide catastrophe modeling expertise while

Qualifications

2–6 years of structural engineering consulting experience with existing buildings (retrofit design or forensic investigations preferred).
BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required. Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred.
Deep knowledge of US building codes, permits, and regional construction practices.
Technical understanding of building failure modes during disasters.
AI mindset: excited by AI developments and eager to combine them with structural engineering expertise.

Responsibilities

Analyze building data and imagery to create ground truth datasets for AI assessments.
Collaborate with AI and backend teams to implement structural expertise at scale.
Support customers by answering domain-specific technical questions.
Define vulnerability frameworks for buildings subjected to earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires, and other hazards.
Review and validate AI-generated structural assessments to improve model accuracy.
