Madison Reed is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Color Cloud team. You will own the Color Cloud platform from architecture to delivery, guiding in‑store tech and AI‑powered colorist tooling.

The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and a bold architectural vision in a fast‑paced, AI‑first environment. You will mentor engineers, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and align technical decisions with business goals while championing quality and scalability across our Hair Color Bar

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Built production systems in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React).
Experience with AI/LLM infrastructure and frontiers tooling.
Strong ownership of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and release processes.
Exceptional communication and collaboration across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

Own the Color Cloud platform end‑to‑end and ship foundational technical decisions.
Drive technical strategy for in‑store systems and Color Cloud surface area.
Build AI-powered experiences for colorists and store workflows.
Ensure reliability, offline resilience, payments, and hardware integrations.
Lead refactors and architecture work to scale with business needs.
Mentor engineers and raise the bar through code reviews and best practices.
Collaborate with product, operations, and leadership to align technical solutions with business priorities.
