Job summary

SPD Technology is seeking a Solution Architect (Pre-Sales, Delivery & AI Enablement) to join our fully remote team. This role blends pre-sales, delivery and AI enablement, shaping solutions, defending estimates, and guiding architecture across multiple engagements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on software development and 3+ years designing complex multi-stack architectures.
• Experience in pre-sales, technical discovery or solution consulting.
• Strong estimation skills and the ability to defend estimates to both Sales and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical discovery process and design robust, scalable, cost-effective solutions for proposals, RFI/RFP responses and new client engagements.
• Own estimation end-to-end: translate sales discoveries into engineering-grounded estimates and challenge inaccurate numbers.
• Act as the bridge between Sales and Delivery to ensure estimates reflect engineers' input and that the delivery team can execute what was sold.
• Prepare technical sections of proposals: solution descriptions, architecture diagrams, assumptions, risks and delivery approach.
• Be the primary technical contact for prospective clients, articulating the solution and implementation strategy to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
