Job summary

Riverdale Country School in New York City seeks a Software Solutions Engineer to design and maintain interactive web applications, lead AI-driven data queries, and build internal tools that streamline school operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of development experience, familiarity with Google Cloud, and strong communication skills to collaborate with Deans, Parents, and Students. In-person, 12-month schedule, immediate start.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack web development and modern programming languages.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and data modeling.
• Experience with data visualization and data warehousing (BigQuery a plus).
• Ability to translate complex administrative needs into technical solutions.
• Experience with SDLC for multiple projects and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain interactive web applications for students and families.
• Implement AI-driven interfaces to query institutional data securely.
• Develop internal applications, including a centralized job description management system.
• Create real-time organizational charts and department flowcharts.
