Job summary

Riverdale Country School in New York City is seeking a Software Solutions Engineer to join the in-person technology team. The role focuses on custom application development, AI-enabled interfaces, and data integration across core platforms to support school operations and analytics.

You will collaborate with Deans, Counselors, and administrators, building dashboards, secure data queries, and automated workflows within a Google Cloud-centric environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-3 years of professional development experience or equivalent project experience.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Google Cloud, including Apps Script and Sheets/Drive APIs.
• Understanding of one or more web frameworks.
• Knowledge of APIs, data modeling and visualization.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate administrative needs into technical solutions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects through the SDLC.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Awareness of information security standards, data privacy, and access control.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining interactive web applications for students and families.
• Exploring AI-driven conversational interfaces for secure data queries.
• Building internal apps including job description management and auditing tools.
• Developing real-time organizational charts and departmental flowcharts.
• Creating scripts and API integrations to automate processes.
