Job summary

ALLIANT CYBERSECURITY is seeking a Software Product Manager in Houston, TX to lead market and client analysis, planning, road mapping, and detailed requirements for complex software initiatives. You will work with engineers, UI designers, data/AI teams, clients, and executives to translate business objectives into executable product and release plans.

The role emphasizes hands-on product ownership, agile practices, and clear communication across time zones.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in software product management, product ownership, business analysis, or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; translate complex needs into actionable requirements for engineering teams.
Experience developing and managing prioritized product roadmaps and release plans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Translate customer needs and business objectives into clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, rules, and acceptance criteria for web and mobile apps.
Partner with engineering and design to validate feasibility, resolve gaps, and maintain shared understanding of requirements.
Maintain product and release documentation; develop communications and training for internal and external audiences.
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives; translate requirements into actionable work items.
Create and refine a prioritized product roadmap based on impact, value, effort, risk, and capacity.
Communicate roadmap priorities, rationale, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and manage cross-team dependencies.
Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, QA, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
Define measurable outcomes and evaluate delivered functionality against needs and feedback.
