Job summary

AlliantGroup LP is seeking a Software Product Manager to lead market and client analysis, planning, and road mapping for complex software initiatives. The role collaborates with engineers, UI designers, client services, data/AI engineers, and executive stakeholders to translate business objectives into executable plans for product releases.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in product management, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software product management or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate needs into engineering requirements.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile practices.
• Experience developing and managing prioritized product roadmaps and release plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs and business objectives into clear product requirements and user stories.
• Partner with engineering and design to validate feasibility and dependencies.
• Maintain accurate product documentation and release notes.
• Develop release communications and training for internal and external audiences.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews with engineering.
• Track progress, blockers, and delivery trends to support realistic release schedules.
• Create and refine a prioritized product roadmap based on impact, value, effort, and risk.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across time zones to plan releases and milestones.
• Communicate roadmap priorities and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Incorporate feedback to improve requirements and roadmap priorities.
• Define outcomes for features and measure success against requirements.
• Improve product development processes and requirements quality.
