Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the engineering team behind Amazon WorkSpaces Advisor, an AI-powered troubleshooting and optimization experience for administrators.

You will build and scale agentic, self-diagnosing systems that analyze fleet telemetry, diagnose root causes, and propose or apply fixes, while owning availability, security, and performance of control plane services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Mathematics or related field.
• 3+ years engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable multi-tier web services.
• 8+ years leading definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of full SDLC practices, coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team behind Advisor and related services.
• Own end-to-end architecture, availability, latency, and security.
• Drive design rigor, code quality, test coverage, and safe deployments.
• Hire, grow, and retain engineers.
• Communicate designs and strategy to stakeholders.
