Job summary

STR's Analytics & Command & Control (AC2) Division seeks a capable software engineer to design, develop, implement, and deploy advanced algorithms and software systems. You will collaborate with teammates across the lifecycle from prototyping to production, contributing to mission planning tools and situational awareness visualizations.

Based in one of our offices, you will operate in STR's flexible hybrid environment, with remote work possible when onsite facilities are not required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Python.
• Experience with data science and algorithm development.
• Object-oriented programming principles.
• AI-assisted software development and life cycle tools.
• Service oriented architectures or micro-service architectures.
• Agile software lifecycle methodologies and tools, such as JIRA.
• Test-driven development methodologies.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance, for which US citizenship is needed by the US government.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and deploy advanced algorithms and software systems.
• Assist other technical contributors throughout the software lifecycle, from prototypes to integrated systems.
• Work on diverse applications including decision aids for mission planning and information fusion for situational awareness.
