Job summary

EssenceMediacom in the United States is seeking an Associate Director, SEO & Generative Search Optimization, to join the Organic Search team and lead the strategy, recommendations, and delivery of SEO and GSO across Google products and services in the U.S., in partnership with global team members across EMEA and APAC.

The ideal candidate combines deep organic search expertise with strong client leadership, commercial judgment, and people management skills, guiding Supervisors and junior team

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of organic search experience with leadership of SEO strategies.
• Advanced expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and international search.
• Strong understanding of AI Search, LLMs, and discovery behaviors.
• Ability to translate complex data into client-ready strategies.
• Proven senior stakeholder leadership and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own SEO and GSO vision for assigned Google products, linking strategy to business priorities.
• Define strategic roadmaps for complex sites and evolving AI standards.
• Lead long-term content strategy across traditional and generative search.
• Measure performance and connect outcomes to broader KPIs.
• Serve as primary client partner, manage expectations, and drive growth.
• Lead senior client presentations and strategic discussions.
• Create bespoke scopes, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
• Drive operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
