Job summary

Single Grain LLC is seeking a seasoned Director of SEO to lead strategy, execution, and innovation for diverse client portfolios. You will own the SEO roadmap, drive technical and content initiatives, and deploy AI-driven insights to deliver measurable growth and reduce churn.

You’ll mentor a high-performing SEO team, collaborate across Paid Media and Creative, and push for continuous improvement of our own SEO practices while expanding client value and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of agency or multi-brand SEO leadership.
• Proven track record in client retention and growth.
• Demonstrated success on non-Google surfaces (YouTube, Reddit, AI cards).
• Advanced technical and content expertise (indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data).
• Tool mastery across SEO platforms (Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Surfer, GA4, GSC).
• AI fluency including prompt engineering for content and QA.
• Executive communication skills for C-level stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking linking SEO to business goals.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of 6-10 key accounts and drive quarterly OKRs and QBRs.
• Lead site audits, migrations, redesigns, and content-gap analyses.
• Explore AI-driven SEO tactics to maximize visibility and ROI.
• Collaborate with Paid Media, CRO, and Creative to integrate SEO insights.
• Oversee SEO tool stack and processes to improve efficiency.
• Deliver weekly KPI reviews and executive-level reporting.
