Job summary

Meta’s security team is the central engine driving data and system security. We are seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers applying AI to scale security across Meta's products, including web and mobile platforms.

You will hire and mentor engineers, shape multi-year roadmaps, collaborate with Product Management and Data teams, and develop automation to detect, fix, and prevent vulnerabilities across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent security experience.
• 8+ years in security or software engineering with 3+ years in security technical management.
• Proven track record supporting security research or engineers.
• Experience working across organizational boundaries for company-wide impact.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional programs.
• Scripting experience with an interpreted language (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
• Broad knowledge across security, systems design, offensive security, and detection engineering.
