Lokaal bestuur boom is seeking a Controller to oversee the company's accounting and financial operations as we scale to $20M ARR. The ideal candidate is excited about building the accounting function, utilizing AI-driven execution, and driving efficiencies.

This role involves ownership of all accounting operations, managing audits, and ensuring GAAP compliance. You will work closely with the CFO and have a significant influence on how Boom scales efficiently.

Qualifications

• You must have CPA or equivalent experience managing audit processes.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS or tech.
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition principles.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of accounting operations including monthly close.
• Manage general ledger to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare for the company's first audit ensuring systems are audit‑ready.

Skills

CPA or equivalent experience managing audit processes and ASC 606 compliance

5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS or technology companies

Experience leading or owning a financial close process

Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition principles

Hands‑on experience with AI tools

Proven ability to implement and optimize accounting systems

Highly organized and detail‑oriented

Excellent communication skills

Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
