Job summary

Airbnb is seeking an Automation Engineer to build and maintain automation coverage for features and releases. You will work with product engineering to craft testable systems, integrate tests into CI/CD, and evolve testing tools and frameworks.

You will explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test creation, debug issues, and contribute to scalable quality processes across global teams. Strong collaboration across cross-functional groups is essential to ensure high-quality software for guests

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Kotlin, Swift, Java).
• Exposure to writing automated tests or testing frameworks via work, internships, or projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and effectively utilize automated tests for features and releases.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure robust test coverage.
• Improve automation frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Diagnose issues, verify fixes, and contribute to testable, scalable architectures.
