Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an AI Automation Quality Engineer to lead next-generation testing for the my.harvard portal. You will design intelligent QA workflows, read Jira stories and docs to create test scenarios, and build AI agents that analyze codebases to generate high-coverage tests.

The role combines software testing with cutting-edge AI, collaborating with BAs, developers, and product owners to deliver reliable, automated testing across web apps, APIs, and UI components in a hybrid

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AI-driven quality engineering for the my.harvard portal, moving beyond traditional QA to intelligent testing.
  • Design AI agents to read user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation to generate test scenarios.
  • Analyze Django/FastAPI and frontend code to create high-coverage reusable tests.
  • Develop RAG pipelines using Jira, Confluence, Git, and architecture docs to improve test quality.
  • Collaborate with BAs, developers, and product owners to validate test scenarios before automation.
  • Generate maintainable automated tests with Playwright, Selenium, pytest and contribute to the shared repo.
  • Maintain regression suites, API/UI tests, performance validation, and CI/CD integration.
