Job summary

Ameritex Machine & Fabrication is seeking a Production Planner & Process Automation Specialist to overhaul planning and scheduling with AI-enabled tools in a hands-on production setting. You’ll own order flow from ERP to forecasting, building dashboards and automations to speed decisions.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and practical implementation of Power BI, Python, APIs, and other automation tech to reduce manual tasks and increase visibility

Qualifications

Experience in production planning and scheduling in manufacturing environments.
Ability to design and implement dashboards and automation to reduce manual work.
Understanding of order-to-cash processes and cross-functional dependencies.

Responsibilities

Improve scheduling and planning as a core duty, weekly improvements.
Develop and maintain tools, dashboards, reports, and automations to reduce manual scheduling.
Coordinate with production, quality, sales, procurement and customer service on end-to-end processes.
Collaborate with purchasing on material procurement, lead times, and planning.
Balance priorities across jobs and departments to protect delivery dates.
Engage with shop floor to understand products, BOMs, specs, and quality criteria.
Communicate clearly with management and represent production needs externally.
