Job summary

Meta is seeking an AI-first Product Security Engineer Intern to join our security teams. You will work with Web and Native Security engineers to identify vulnerabilities, apply AI/ML to threat detection, and contribute to secure coding practices across Meta’s apps and services.

The internship emphasizes collaboration with engineering and product teams, hands-on vulnerability discovery, and building AI-powered security tooling that scales to billions of users.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a full-time degree program in CS or related field; expected graduation not earlier than the internship end date.
• Experience applying security practices to web apps and APIs; understanding of common vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work on security and software projects with ownership and follow-through.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and code review processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse engineering and product teams.
• Experience with AI/ML in security contexts and related tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design AI-enhanced security guidance.
• Assist Web Security and Native Security engineers on vulnerability research and tooling.
• Contribute to secure software development lifecycle and threat modeling.
• Participate in vulnerability hunting, fuzzing ideas, and automated test initiatives.
• Document findings and help drive remediation with actionable guidance.
• Present security concepts and progress to stakeholders across teams.
