Job summary

GitLab is hiring for a remote, all‑remote role focused on automations and integrations across People systems. You will build, test and maintain automations, connect Workday, Greenhouse, Slack and internal tools, and ensure reliability through GitLab CI/CD with solid documentation.

The role emphasizes an AI-forward approach, operating globally and collaborating with People Technology Analysts, Information Security, IT and AI Engineering to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building automations or integrations in a production environment.
• Experience writing and maintaining code in Ruby or similar languages (Python/JavaScript).
• Experience with Workato or similar iPaaS in a production environment.
• Experience with APIs and web services (REST/SOAP) and data movement between systems.
• Proficiency with Git and code review; treat automation like production software.
• AI-forward mindset: use AI tools daily to automate tasks and speed development.
• Ability to work independently, propose options, and collaborate openly.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain People system automations and integrations across platforms.
• Develop integrations between Workday, Greenhouse, Slack and internal tools.
• Write clean automation code in Ruby or similar, with documentation and reviews.
• Monitor integration health and troubleshoot failures to fix root causes.
• Ship changes through GitLab CI/CD withSOX ITGC controls.
• Lead with AI to accelerate development and prototype AI agents.
• Collaborate with People Technology Analysts and Security on releases and standards.
