Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a technically seasoned professional to advance AI-enabled products. You will join cross-disciplinary teams across software, data science, and product management to design scalable AI solutions and optimization tools for client challenges.

You will apply operations research, NLP, and modern analytics to end-to-end supply chain planning, production, scheduling, and network design, delivering actionable insights and impactful outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in CS, ML, applied statistics, mathematics, engineering or AI.
• 5+ years of deep technical experience in operations research/optimization or related data science work.
• Programming experience in Python, C++, Java.
• Proven application of operations research methods in the commercial world.
• Knowledge of software development tools and best practices (testing, version control, CI/CD).
• Understanding of supply chain concepts (production planning, scheduling, network design, logistics).
• Previous experience in NLP or generative AI is highly desirable.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, PyData stack, SQL, Airflow, Databricks, Kedro, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Willingness to travel.
• Good presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in multidisciplinary teams to create AI products and technologies that scale.
• Contribute across product teams on agentic AI systems, digital twins, and analytics platforms.
• Develop frameworks and libraries, including Kedro and ARK, for data practitioners.
• Apply operations research methods to client supply chain challenges from S&OP to logistics.
• Enhance analytics tools and implement client-ready solutions with measurable impact.
• Present results to client leadership and collaborate with client teams on implementation.
