Job summary

National Information Solutions Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Network Specialist to design, implement, and support member networks from our Lake Saint Louis, MO office.

The role sits on the Networking Infrastructure team, focusing on scalable, highly available architectures and reliable LAN/WAN, firewall, and wireless implementations. You will work in a hybrid schedule after an initial training period, with in-office days Tue/Wed and a third day chosen by you.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related networking experience preferred.
• Moderate knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with firewalls (SonicWall or Palo Alto) required.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networks and wireless infrastructure.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, support, and maintenance of member network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network hardware and related problems.
• Deliver superior customer support to internal and external customers.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and security.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
• Assist in training and staging for customer equipment onsite and remotely.
• Participate in after-hours on-call schedule as needed.
