Job summary

National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) seeks a Network/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to advance our hybrid cloud networking and security-first platform. You will help build resilient, low-latency networks, design containerized topologies, and support performance dashboards across multiple offices including Mandan, ND.

You will collaborate with a skilled team on automation, IaC, and on-call duties while driving best practices in reliability and security for member-focused services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• 1–5 years in networking, cloud infra, or related tech.
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible.
• Knowledge of network security fundamentals.
• Ability to design scalable, low-latency networks.

Responsibilities

• Build KPI dashboards tracking network performance.
• Lead design of low-latency, distributed infrastructure.
• Design hybrid cloud network topology.
• Develop containerized network topologies.
• Manage vendor relationships and cloud cost controls.
• Mentor teammates and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document SOPs and maintain knowledge base.
