Job summary

Inductive Bio is seeking an accomplished Synthetic Chemist for its AI-forward drug discovery platform. The role combines medicinal chemistry strategy with hands-on synthesis to design better compounds and accelerate Design-Make-Test-Analyze workflows.

You will bridge computational design and experimental chemistry, bringing practical synthesis expertise to the lab and the digital tools we are building. This onsite position reports to the VP, Head of Medicinal Chemistry in Boston.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in practical synthesis and route design.
• Ability to translate bench knowledge into digital workflows.
• Experience coordinating with CRO partners across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot synthetic routes for diverse medicinal chemistry programs.
• Oversee CRO synthesis activities and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality compounds.
• Mentor lab technicians to ensure safe, reproducible reactions.
• Collaborate with computational scientists and engineers to integrate AI tools into synthesis workflows.
• Develop strategies for material supply and scale-up to support ongoing discovery.
