Job summary

Upside Foods, Inc. is seeking an AI Intern within the Enterprise Intelligence team to join a tight-knit group of data scientists and IT developers who partner with our sci/tech teams to use advanced computing to accelerate cultivated meat initiatives.

You will own end-to-end high-throughput deployments, from stakeholder design to shipping new services, and collaborate on lab automation, AI coding, and IT/OT integrations to drive long-term business value.

Qualifications

Ownership mindset to drive cross‑functional projects.
Hands-on experience with scientific instrumentation and molecular biology workflows.
Bioprocessing and cellular biology concepts are familiar.
On-site presence required >2 days a week near Berkeley, CA.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to envision and design lab automation workflows that drive increased business value.
Use AI programming tools to develop and encode new high throughput workflows.
Integrate technical solutions within organizational tools and data sources, and leverage dashboards or lower-tech solutions when appropriate.
Work closely with IT and Data Platform Engineering teammates to ensure infrastructure support.
20 hrs/wk concurrent with school.
