Job summary

InterSystems Corporation in Boston, MA seeks a Technical Services Engineer II to ensure availability, performance, and security of corporate infrastructure across on-premises, private cloud, and data centers. You will optimize virtualization, storage, and network platforms while supporting AI-driven initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years of enterprise ICT experience, strong networking, storage, scripting, and automation skills; you will collaborate across teams and contribute to a 24x7 on-call

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years supporting complex enterprise ICT environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Hands-on capability in storage administration, scripting, and automation.
• Proficiency with Git and Perforce for source control/CICD.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and optimize private cloud and data center infrastructure (Virtualization/Containerization, Servers, Storage).
• Maintain, monitor and optimize internal and internet-facing applications and services.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Administer on-premises data center platforms (servers, storage, network devices, power/cooling).
• Provide storage administration across SAN, NAS, and DAS; manage storage fabrics.
• Support Windows, Linux and MacOS server operating systems; administer and troubleshoot.
• Monitor and administer backup platforms; ensure backup health and completion.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues; document root causes and actions.
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect infrastructure and data.
• Complete operational and compliance checks; fulfill service requests via ServiceNow.
• Partner with Network Team on firewalls, switching/routing, wireless infra.
• Maintain current technical documentation for infrastructure components.
• Mentor junior team members; foster collaborative culture.
• Support task automation using tooling and scripting; participate in automation strategy.
• Provide technical assistance to local staff via ticketing system.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rota as required.
