Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an AI Native HR Data Analyst in Atlanta, GA to design HR data infrastructure and AI-assisted workflows for HR, Safety, and Compliance leaders. The role focuses on building reusable reporting systems, improving data integrity, and delivering insight-driven dashboards.

The candidate will work with Claude, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and other AI tools to automate repetitive reporting, uncover trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR analytics, business analytics, statistics, data science, or related field.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and reporting/BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and SQL.
• Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to support analysis and automation with sound judgment.
• Strong critical thinking to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into insights.
• Builder mindset focused on repeatable, automated workflows.
• Genuine curiosity for investigating anomalies and communicating insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for HR, Safety, and Compliance leadership.
• Knowledge of HR metrics, workforce analytics, and compliance reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Use Claude and other AI tools to accelerate exploratory work, draft and refine SQL/queries, identify trends across HRIS and datasets, and validate findings before leadership.
• Apply AI as a thinking partner to extend perspective while maintaining sound judgment.
• Redesign repetitive reporting into automated, sustainable workflows to reduce turnaround time and enable higher-value analysis.
• Build with reusability in mind for workflows to remain useful beyond a single request.
• Develop systems surfacing trends, anomalies, and root-cause context across engagement, turnover, safety compliance, and workforce planning.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and completeness of HR data across HRIS and related platforms.
• Perform regular audits and automated checks to catch discrepancies early.
• Create clear, visually compelling dashboards/reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel and AI-assisted tooling, usable by non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with HR, Compliance, Safety, Operations, Finance, and IT to translate questions into deliverables.
• Improve data collection/modeling/communication, taking ownership of implementation.
• Support experimental initiatives including new metrics, predictive models, or AI tools as guided by leadership.
